The catalog Descubrimientos 2010 of the photographers selected for PHotoEspana reviews is now available through La Fabrica. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, the 206 page guide showcases 110 photographers can be purchased for 24 Euros.

  Juror's Award, Interplay Exhibition

Lori has received an award for Best Demonstration of Theme at the Interplay exhibition that is on view through August 22, 2010 at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. Juror Eric Shiner, Milton Fein Curator of Art at the Andy Warhol Museum, selected the work for the exhibition.

A catalog of the exhibition is available through the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts shop through the duration of the exhibition.
   
  Carnegie Museum of Art Purchase Award

A dyptic from Status Symbols has been juried into the AAP 100th Annual Exhibition, which will be exhibited at the Carnegie Museum of Art from July 23-September 19, 2010. Jurors Donald Miller and and Al Miner selected around 100 works from the over 600 submitted for the exhibition.

The dyptic, @ranjit, 11:25am Dec 2nd from the web (x2) rrrrrrrrrr... (continue for 140 characters), has been awarded the 2010 Carnegie Museum of Art Purchase Award by Daniel Byers, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art. It will be entered into the Carnegie Museum of Art permanent collection.

A free, open to the public, Opening Reception will be held Friday, July 23rd at the Museum, 7:30-10pm.
   
  Solo Exhibition at SRO Photo Gallery in 2010-11

SRO Photo Gallery announced the 2010-2011 artists that will be having solo exhibitions. Lori will be exhibiting Status Symbols at the SRO Photo Gallery from April 11, 2011- May 7, 2011. More information will be posted as the exhibition nears.
   
  PhotoEspaña 2010

Lori has been selected as one of 11 US photographers to participate in the 2010 Portfolio Reviews and Exhibition in Madrid, Spain as a part of PhotoEspaña. The reviews will be held June 10-12 where photographers will meet with a variety of International Curators.

In its thirteenth Edition, Descubrimientos PHE has received works from photographers of 75 nationalities. The selection of the 70 participatnes was made by a selection committee formed by: Juan Manuel Castro Prieto, Photographer; Francisco Carpio, Art critic; Andres Issac Santana, Art Critic; and Salvador Nadales, Curator at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia. The selected photographers will present their works to eight curators and editors during the portfolio review that will take place from June 10 to June 12 in Madrid, and they will opt for the Descubrimientos PHE Extra Viejo Award, which consists in an individual exhibition in PHotoEspaña 2011.
   
  PhotoSpiva 2010 Exhibition

Lori has had her piece, Nebulous:Spasm:1 accepted into PhotoSpiva 2010: 34th Annual National
Photographic Competition. Her piece was one of 84 accepted out of a total submission pool of 908 by juror Deborah Klochko, Director of the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, California.

The exhibition opens with an artist and juror's reception on March 5, 5:30-7:30 pm. The exhibition runs through April 25, 2010 at the George A. Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin, MO.

  99th Annual Exhibition

Lori's piece, @BarackObama, 9:12 PM May 20th from Power Twitter (#2), which is new work from the Status Symbols body of work is currently on view at the Carnegie Museum of Art. The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh's 99th Annual Exhibition, juried by Doryun Chong (of MOMA) will be on view in the Heinz Galleries at the Museum through 11/8/09.
